Comfort After Misery: Lord’s Day 1 leaves us with a vision of God’s comfort, describing the way we receive it is by conviction of sin through God’s law. It seems counterintuitive, but as our sin comes to light, we find true comfort that resolves our guilt is only found the gospel. Deuteronomy 6 candidly puts before us our need to focus on law continually, so we come to trust in our Lord who resolves the law!
