Our Lord was Innocent: In Luke 23 we see the multitude rabidly looking for blood, crying out “crucify him, crucify him” of the one who was declared innocent by two governing officials. Christ Jesus willingly suffered at the hands of such sinners, so that all sinners who believe in him would be declared innocent in heaven’s court!
